Business Development Manager -Fashion Retail

Job description

Our client is a Qatar based multi-national group founded in 1922 with its roots in the Fashion Retail industry. Today, the firm offers its own brand of luxury Abayas and Jalabiyas as well as other brands. The client is currently expanding its UAE footprint from the existing 4 stores and is looking to hire more than 20 staff across various positions. 

  • Responsibilities:
  • Under direction of the COO execute retail selling strategies, storewide promotions, programs, and events at retail
  • Execute retail promotions for key brands and theatricals with key retailers
  • Develop and monitor financial wholesale sell-in goals
  • Establish ongoing coordination and communication with key licensees to coordinate sales calls and retail promotions
  • Ensure that DTR ( Defining the Relationship) activities are included in category sales plan and implemented as expected in every territory
  • Oversees all communication to stores, some external facing elements such as vendor, partner, shareholder, and analyst presentations
  • Partners with cross functional business areas to influence and gain buy-in for the strategies related to Outfitter-facing digital and mobile programs
  • Keep all products and demonstration equipment’s (table, ice bin, POS materials, ) clean and neatly organized
  • Developing trusted customer relationships by anticipating customer needs
  • Develop accurate reporting mechanisms of all Business Development programs
  • Managements of day to day issues and broader initiatives impacting the business, including clear communication across all stakeholders
  • Work closely with the other Business Development Managers to maximize opportunities within each of the channels and state
  • Identifies and assesses new packaged food products and business partnership opportunities, which includes evaluating industry, market, and specific companies
  • Work with Client Partners, Sales Executives and Account Managers to promote these solutions to current and prospective clients, recommending the appropriate solution suite
  • Attend industry conferences and user group meetings as required and deliver sales presentations in corporate booth and/or industry speaking engagements
  • Conduct competitive analysis and articulate/tailor presentations, promotions, and other sales execution functions according

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.
  • Experience in sales, marketing or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
  • riving a successful client program to help drive revenue on key accounts – identify key client issues, identify /tailor appropriate propositions to address these issues and influence account teams to take these propositions to their client and follow up progress
  • Proven track record in business development, sales and client relationship management ideally within a professional services environment or in Retail & Consumer sector
